The Trump administration plans to eliminate the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities,
which fund art programs in all 50 states, providing access to the arts to students in rural and high-poverty areas.
This April, in honor of National Poetry Month, OPOP’s national #PoetWe Campaign invites students to write poetry about the importance of creative writing and the arts. In this month-long project, using poetry we can raise our voices to protect the arts and humanities.
